Cast Iron Weight Disc Plate 1 inch/28mm - 2-year warranty.
Description
- Weight: 10 kg - Thickness: 30 mm - Internal diameter: 1 inch / 28mm - External diameter: 295mm
Store your cast iron weights on a wall mount for discs (ref: 8796727) or a storage rack (ref: 8788246) to install indoors (such as in a garage). You can also store them in the lower part of a piece of furniture. Your weight training plates should be stored away from moisture, since cast iron can rust if exposed to water. Your discs are easy to clean with a microfibre cloth when they have been stored for a long time.
- Cast iron better withstands shocks, drops and crushing (5 times better) than vinyl. - Cast iron has a textured surface for excellent grip even when your hands are damp, unlike plastic, which can be slippery. Choosing our cast iron weights means you can work out confidently and efficiently.
Install a disc collar on each end of your bar or dumbbell to work out safely. They are sold as a pair (ref: 8574652). If you train with two dumbbells, you'll need four collars (two pairs). Do not exceed 15 kg if using your bar in a vertical position.
Since 2018, our teams have been gradually integrating recycled materials until we reached the perfect balance. Following several years of experiments, Decathlon is replacing its entire range of cast iron products with recycled cast iron made from at least 80% scrap metal and steel waste – a real feat for the world of metal! To ensure that the quality is the same as classic cast iron, tests are carried out in partner laboratories.
Here is a sample upper-body workout focusing on building muscle mass. Short recovery time between each set. - Bench press 3×8-10 reps - Dips 3×8-10 reps - Military press 3×8-10 reps - Rows with bar, supinated grip 3×8-10 reps - Lumberjack rows with dumbbells 3×8-10 reps/side - Biceps with dumbbells 3×8-10 reps Keep a two rep margin and increase by one rep per week.
- Cast iron is a dense material that is more compact than vinyl, which means you can add more discs to the bar (up to 32 kg on one dumbbell bar) - Cast iron lasts a lifetime, unlike plastic or vinyl, which can wear out within a year. - Cast iron is less affected by temperature changes so you can use it in a range of conditions.
This 10 kg cast iron weight is compatible with all 28 mm bars. You can choose whichever one suits you from the following: - 1.2 meter straight bar (ref: 8289897) - 1.2 metre curl bar (ref: 8484124) - 86 cm triceps bar (ref.: 8484125) - 35 cm short bar (ref.: 1041986) - 45 cm threaded bar (ref.: 8766096) - 1.55 metre straight bar (ref: 8289896) - 2 m straight bar (ref.: 8289900) A 50 mm bar will not be compatible with this weight training disc plate.
